BIOGRAPHYAn ideal day starts early – waking up to the sun shining through the window, have a slow breakfast and a light reading of God’s word. I walk the dog and snap pictures of beautiful and happy things along the way. I move on to start another fun project while listening to good music. Lunch is spinach and wild rocket with garlic pasta. Work continues and finishes by 9 p.m. and the day ends with dinner and a good movie. True to my job as a graphic designer in a creative agency, I love all things design, illustration and photography. On a more personal note, I’m an idealist, a perfectionist, and a dreamer. I enjoy happy things, and beautiful things. We don’t always wake up to sunshine, but the choices we make can brighten the day. However, it was not going to school or graduating from Temasek Polytechnic’s School of Design in 2004 that I learnt quickly and the most. It was through working hard in the real world that I became a better person, a better designer. I gained an understanding of contentment, to balance fun with responsibility, and to put others before me. I consider my photojournalism internship with The Straits Times, my graphic journalism stint at news-wire agency Thomson Reuters and my tenure at MUJI Singapore – a brand that personifies sophistication in simplicity – the most enriching of my work experiences. Since then, my passion in designing has veered towards creating experimental brand experiences as well as spatial extravaganzas, integral to making a statement in this digital age. | ![]()   |
